Arts Teacher Fellowships
Arts Teacher Fellowships offer funds to encourage creative arts education projects in DC Public Schools and public charter schools and to support the development and implementation of innovative teaching strategies to support DCPS Arts Content Standards.
Arts Teacher Fellowships may be used to develop and/or create innovative instructional strategies that enhance student-learning outcomes in the Arts, the Humanities or through arts-integrated curricular activities. The funds may also be used to support the professional development goals of full time teachers of the Arts or the Humanities. Financial assistance is available for activities such as attendance at training institutes, conferences, workshops and short-term consultancies during which a consultant works (either through one-on-one advising or through work on a project, workshop or initiative) with the teacher to strengthen specific skills.
The next deadline to apply for an Arts Teacher Fellowship grant is Friday, October 16, 2009, at 7 pm.
