Elders Learning Through the Arts Program

The Elders Learning Through the Arts Program (ELTA) offers quick response grants up to $5,000 to individual artists and arts organizations serving seniors, 60 and older, in arts programs.  Funds are intended to support innovative arts projects that demonstrate imaginative use of artistic skill and provide meaningful activities that strengthen senior communities as well as provide positive alternatives not otherwise readily available for seniors.

The FY 2009 deadline for the Elders Learning Through the Arts Program is Wednesday, September 24, 2008 at 7 pm.

Workshops
The Commission hosts a series of workshops to assist all individuals and organizations in preparing applications and strongly encourages that all applicants attend a workshop prior to submitting a proposal.
No prior reservations are required to attend workshops. Workshops are held in several different facilities in Washington, DC. View directions to workshop locations.

Elders Learning Through the Arts Program workshops will be held:

  • Tuesday, September 9, 2008
    THE ARC
    Noon - 1:30 pm
  • Thursday, September 18, 2008
